Stackless and now boilerless too. Only the NGS Power Block remains.

I was an employee at NGS from 9/76 through 8/80. I started as a mechanic on the BM&LP railroad. I moved into the power plant after a couple of years. I left after a labor dispute in 1980. You may recall the circumstances. This was not the sanctioned strike in 78. My five years at NGS we’re significant to my future in power plant startup and maintenance for the next 16 years. I spent 21 years in powerhouse maintenance, part as a maintenance manager until 1997 when I changed industries. I retired in 2017 at the age of 69.
